Description
Florida was added to the Union in 1845, the 27th state to join. The flag shown here was adopted in 1900, with the last modification to the seal in 1985. It contains a red saltire, which recalls the flag of the Confederacy, and the state seal. The seal contains a typical landscape of Florida.
