Description
New Hampshire was one of the original thirteen colonies. The flag shown here was adopted in 1932. The nine stars indicate that New Hampshire was the ninth Union state. The boat in the foreground of the seal is the Raleigh, an early American naval ship built in 1776, the same year that New Hampshire achieved independence.
