3×5′ Outdoor Oklahoma Flag

Oklahoma was added to the Union in 1907, the 46th state to join. The flag shown here was adopted in 1941. The blue background represents loyalty and the shield represents protection and a will to defend the state. The olive branch and peace pipe stand for peace. The Native American elements (peace pipe, shield with feathers) are a tribute to the people who have long occupied Oklahoma.
