3×5′ Outdoor Illinois Flag

Illinois was added to the Union in 1818, the 21st state to join. The flag shown here was adopted in 1915. The water in the emblem stands for Lake Michigan, and the bald eagle clutching an American shield represents Illinois’s ties to the Union.
